8 April ... Toledo, OH ... Toledo Sports Arena

Skyhooks took the stage and were booed after every song, but still said "thank-you." Funny.

Fogat opened with "Fool For The City", they also played "Honey Hush", "I Just Wanna Make Love To You," "Slow Ride," and I think they played "My Babe." It was a short, but great set... maybe an hour.

Uriah Heep was last, but Fogat stole the show.

16 April ... Myrtle Beach, SC ... Grand Strand Music Fair

This was Spring of my Senior year in high school. Must've been during Spring Break tho that seems late in the year for that. This trip to Myrtle Beach saw me spend some time in jail there for accidentally hitting a South Carolina Hell's Angel and his lady with my car while they were on their bike. But that's another story! I don't remember details of the show or which one of the two shows I was at (didn't even remember there being two shows till I saw the gig listing). It's cool that one of the gigs was Dave's birthday! I mainly remember it being hot as hell in the place and everyone sweating and drinking up a storm and having an absolute blast. Head East was so-so (wasn't a real big fan), but I remember being blown away by Montrose and then Foghat. They were an awfully good pair back then. The show ended with the typical Foghat rock and roll frenzy and they tore the place down as usual. Sure was a great way to spend time in Myrtle Beach and much better than being in jail!
