    Flood In Houston
    (4:00)
    Youlden / Simmonds

Did you hear about the flood in Houston
It happened a long long time ago
Did you hear about the flood in Houston
It happened a long long time ago
There was thousands of people baby
They didn't have no place to go

    Little children baby
You know they were screaming and crying
    Little children baby
    They were screaming and crying
Just trying to find their families
Trying to find their happy home

Little children were screaming and crying
I watched my brother as he lay dying

    Stay With Me
    (2:35)
    Youlden / Simmonds / Peverett

Stay with me baby, stick around me sometimes
Stay with me baby, stick around me sometimes
You know the only one to ease my worried mind

I get your kindling mama and a brick of coal
I get your kindling mama and a pinch of coal
You got the nerve to tell that you don't want to know

Stay with me baby, stick around me sometimes
Stay with me baby, stick around me sometimes
You know the only one to ease my worried mind

Stay with me baby, stick around me sometimes
Stay with me baby, stick around me sometimes
You know the only one to ease my worried mind

    Honey Bee
    (6:25)
    Waters

Sail on sail on my little Honey Bee sail on
Sail on sail on my little Honey Bee sail on
    I don't mind you sailing
But please don't sail so long

Sail on sail on my little Honey Bee sail on
Sail on sail on my little Honey Bee sail on
    You gonna keep on sailing
Take me to your happy home

I hear a lot of buzzing, sound like my little Honey Bee
I hear a lot of buzzing, sound like my little Honey Bee
She been all around the world making honey
But now she's coming back home to me

I hear a lot of buzzing, sound like my little Honey Bee
I hear a lot of buzzing, sound like my little Honey Bee
She been all around the world making honey
But now she's coming back home to me

    Give Me A Penny
    (4:20)
    Trad, Arr; Youlden / Simmonds

My goodtime friends have put me down
I'm all alone in your town
You know I don't have no place to go
The woman I love she don't want me no more
    I'm just trying to explain
I need a penny to call my baby

    You don't seem to understand
I need a penny to call my baby
You know she asked me to call her on the phone
She got the nerve to tell me she all alone
    I'm just trying to explain
I need a penny to call my baby

I'm just trying to make you understand
I need a penny to call my baby
Now I don't have no peace of mind
I'm just trying to seek what I can find
    I'm just trying to explain
I need a penny to call my baby

Now I want to tell you when I wake up in the morning
And I find now baby I'm all by myself
    I feel so disatisfied
When I go to work and I come home in the evening
    And there ain't nobody there
    I feel so disatisfied
Oh give me a penny baby, give me a penny baby
My wife, now my wife she left me
    Give me a penny
    Give me a penny

I've been a long way from home and I can't sleep at night
I've go a funny feeling something just ain't right
I'll just stand here watching the big city lights

I keep thinking 'bout my baby, bound to go away
Well she gone and leave me yes, she's gone to stay
Now I'll get even baby some sweet day

I've been a long way from home and I can't sleep at night
I've go a funny feeling something just ain't right
I'll just stand here watching the big city lights

I've been a long way from home and I can't sleep at night
I've go a funny feeling something just ain't right

"It was at the end of 1967. We'd had our equipment stolen, and Hughie Flint had his drums stolen and was still thinking of doing something different anyway, so that was kind of the last straw. Bob Brunning left at the same time and I think Kim wanted a change and so we auditioned and Roger Earl came to auditions and he got the gig. The first time he came with a bass player friend and they auditioned together. We weren't keen on the bass player, so we passed on that rhythm section, and the next day I said 'How about that drummer, I thought he was good.' So we called him again and he got the gig. We got a bass player called Rivers Jobe. He was very young, about 15 or so. And that was the lineup for the Getting To The Point album."
